What we do
We are embarking on our biggest challenge yet, re-designing the future of digital health experiences available not just to Medibank customers but for everyone in Australia. It starts with the reinvention and reimagination of our core Digital Platforms, such as our customer websites and apps (Medibank, ahm & Amplar Health), powered by a next generation Design Language System, it will go far beyond what any health insurer offers digitally today and bring to life our 2030 vision of end-to-end health.
We’re talking about wearables, AI, real-time data shaping and personalising accessible and inclusive experiences for all. Of course, secured by the latest technology, giving our designers the opportunity to work on the bleeding edge of what is possible to improve the health for all.
Our main focus is our core digital platforms, but also work across digital employee experiences as well as corporate and white-labelled offerings.
Our time is split across a few modes, envisioning the future, iterating the present and learning from the past. The spectrum of Product Design is truly the end to end which involves everything from early-stage exploration, research and ideation, foundational design systems, fleshing out wires to high fidelity prototypes and monitoring performance and iterating and feeding back into our vision and strategy.
Types of design you might be involved in: Workshops, UX research, Content Design, Accessibility, Design Systems, Data analysis and insights, Brand, Tone of Voice, Video editing, all fidelities of interfaces, interaction design, production specifications, Product strategy, Vision concepts.
Additional effort is going into rebuilding our practice to double down on our Design Ops and Design System, meaning that all newcomers have the opportunity to help shape our overall practice from ground up and be truly heard.

We have a dual track career path that begins at a Senior level where we start developing into craft or people leadership tracks, developing and rewarding each person’s career accordingly. We actively create new opportunities for our team to learn and explore and often surprise themselves.
We’re striving to be the healthiest workplace, so there’s opportunities to define what the future of work will look like and the flexibility that comes with it. We have monthly half-day digital detoxes, meeting free Fridays, twice a week unwind gatherings, we celebrate everyone’s birthday without fail, social lunches and dinners.
We use the latest Apple hardware (MacBook Pros and wearables) and Design tools (like Figma & Maze), to help you produce the best work. We go to design meetups, conferences together, and offer self-paced design courses, such as accessibility design training & collaboration with the Accessibility experts. There’s also an opportunity to work with industry leaders such as Google, Apple.
